Form of workFiber Records Specialist -GIS/AutoCAD- WFH East Coast
We are currently recruiting a Fiber Records Specialist -GIS/AutoCADto be based near to the I-81 corridor in Virginia . The Fiber Records -GIS/AutoCADSpecialistwill work with the PMO and Engineering and construction teams. This is a remote (WFH) role but candidates within 2-3 hours of the market are preferred as there are occasional meetings (every 6 months or so) in the market. This is a 2-3-year project.
As part of the Project Manage Office (PMO) the ideal candidates will have a strong background working with OSP/Fiber Engineering/Construction and can utilize GIS/AutoCAD to collect and validate addresses from construction prints(QA/QC). This role will partially be Project Management as well as hands-on. Solid excel/tracking skills are a must.
The subsequent data will be used by customers once they call into the call center to place an order for broadband telephone service based on the address information/technology provided.
The ability to work independently, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are crucial for success in this role.

3-4 years of experience in the telecommunications field with data entry into databases.
GIS/AutoCAD, very strong excel skills and Google KMZ maps
Experience editing, updating asset and/or GIS data from engineering designs, CAD files, redlines, mark ups. And reading engineering, design, as built, and redline drawings.

In this role you'll:
- Be part of a PMO team that ensures the accuracy and integrity of our client's fiber optic network records. This includes interpreting design plans and construction drawings, making necessary address updates to the system of record (Fiber Management Database).
- Part of a team to drive the process to verify addresses on construction prints, run Google KMZ maps (i.e. verify lat./long. coordinates), work with Network Planning GIS team to verify address lists - high level of excel/possibly Altryx with Smartsheet.
- Validate and QA/QC address lists from engineering construction prints, redline construction drawings and enter onto an Address Assignment Sheet to be entered into our Customer Service database system (iCommV).
- You should be very comfortable using Flash fill functionality in excel for very large data sets
