DUTIES
Part time position providing Electrical Design Authority engineering mentoring to engineers in the Tritium Facilities for SRNS. The Tritium Electrical Engineering Design Authority group has a number of new hire/inexperienced engineers. The candidate will work with all of these engineers to help them with their training qualifications and assignments. This includes DA qualification, USQ qualification and Lockout Approver qualification. The mentor will also help guide them on their work assignments. This includes field walkdowns. The mentor will not be approving any documents. The mentor will not need to obtain DA qualification.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 15 years Electrical Engineering Experience in a manufacturing / production type of facility.
- Working knowledge with the following types of documents: Single Line Diagrams, Schematics, Connection diagrams, and P&I diagrams.
- Working knowledge in the following codes and standards: NEC, IES, NFPA, IEEE, and OSHA requirements.
- Working knowledge with following types of equipment: Diesel generators, UPS, Motors, Transformers, Grounding, and Motor Control Centers.
- Working knowledge of facility operational and maintenance practices including safe electrical work practices, maintenance work instructions and lockout processes.
- Proficient in Smartplant Foundation Software.
- Proficient in Asset Suite Software.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to walk down systems in the field.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance.
- US Citizenship Required
Work Hours:
A 4/10 (10 hours/day: four days per week) work schedule is utilized for this position; however, it will be on an as needed basis for this mentoring role.
Area Security Access:
Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” security clearance.
An active DOE clearance is not initially required to perform assigned duties. After award, the selected candidate, assumed to be uncleared, will be given the opportunity to apply for a DOE clearance.
