SalaryWe are seeking a full-time CDL Driver in the Greensboro, NC area. We are a FedEx Ground Independent Contractor running both dedicated team and solo runs from a single terminal. This person will drive an existing run from NC to California (~5,200 miles), dispatching on Wednesday and returning Sunday.
Previous experience with FedEx Ground is preferred.
Currently holding an active CDL-A certification is required!

Manager Responsibilities:
- Drive weekly route from NC to California and back (~5,200 miles)
- Maintain the company’s fleet of trucks: complete pre/post trip inspections, work with Ops Manager to schedule preventative and other maintenance
- Keep accurate mileage records
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the truck
- Communicate professionally with Ops Manager and FedEx terminal staff
- Remain compliant to policies including uniforms, pre-post trip, DOT compliance, Hazmat, insurance cards, fuel cards, accident packets, etc.
- Follow-up with local management on all VEDR recordable incidents and accidents according to DOT requirements
Driver Requirements:
- At least 1 year of verifiable logistics/transportation CDL driving and/or management experience needed
- CDL-A required
- Must be able to pass DOT physical as well as a drug screen and criminal background check.
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Working knowledge of HOS and VEDR equipment preferred
