Job description

ICF Disaster Management Division is seeking a Disaster Management Federal Grants Specialist to join our team working with subrecipients to manage mitigation grants. This position is Hybrid in the Fort Myers, Florida area. Federal Grants Specialists will provide support assistance to Team Leads for Central and South Florida with financial and grant management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the support subrecipients with application development and implementation.
  • Monitor status of cases from validation of documentation and tracking progression through closeout.
  • Maintain assigned workloads, leads and job assignments.
  • Ensure quality, completeness and on-time delivery of assigned tasks.
  • Coordinate and participate in resolution of grant related issues and concerns.
  • Address any issues presented by Team Leads.
  • Optimize procedures and maintain communication and focus.
  • Maintain and track each case as required from Team Leads in project report management information system.
  • Measure performance with key metrics.
  • Keep management team informed on issues, problems & resolutions.
  • Provide superior customer service skill set including the ability to listen, facilitate and negotiate problems.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in planning, mitigation, or disaster management.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in grant management experience with FEMA or HUD.
  • 3+ years of Grant Management experience.
  • 3+ Years of CDBG - DR experience.
Professional Skills:
  • Ability to effectively communicate with client regarding issues, needs, and/or priority setting for projects.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings and present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills paired with a desire to take initiative.
  • Demonstrated experience balancing and prioritizing multiple projects and competing priorities to meet goals, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure, both individually and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and client service focus.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$43,899.00 - $74,629.00 Florida Remote Office (FL99)
