Job Summary

The Capture Manager, working in close cooperation with sales management, engineering, pricing, and operations teams, devises strategies for pursuing promising new business opportunities within the scope of CGS' core connectivity and vertical market solutions; turning those opportunities into secured business for CGS. The Capture Manager will primarily evaluate transactional opportunities as presented through federal government procurement portals e;g; GSA eBuy, DITCO bulletin board, System for Award Management (SAM); and support task order responses for federal government requirements contracts and IDIQs.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Identify potential opportunities and assess technical capability and strategic fit, risk, competition and win probability, initial pursuit costs, and Price-to-Win (PTW) assessment.
  • Assist in identifying and analyzing a potential opportunity and gathering intelligence about the customer and the competition.
  • Assist the sales teams in understanding customer requirements and issues, assessing CGS' competitive posture and influencing the procurement.
  • Secure functional buy-in from Comcast Senior Leadership and Comcast Business sales-adjacent organizations (Service Assurance, Service Delivery, Program Management, Compliance, etc.).
  • Form the core capture team and oversee use of capture and proposal resources.
  • Determine and finalize the win strategy, win themes, discriminators, price to win (PTW), and technical solution.
  • Initiate strategic teaming arrangements, and draft teaming agreements, small business plans, and other adjunct plans.
  • Schedule and lead opportunity Gate Reviews.
  • Assist the proposal manager in organizing the proposal team and managing the proposal plan and resources.
  • Assist the proposal manager in developing storyboards from the capture plan.
  • Assist the project manager in transitioning awarded contracts to their execution phase.
  • Collaborate with the proposal manager on all phases of proposal planning and execution.
  • Collaborate to ensure that all aspects of the business/price and technical responses are consistent and compliant.
  • Exercises of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work, variable/demanding schedule.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government national security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.

Salary:

National Pay Range: $71,078.58 USD-$166,590.43 USD

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.

Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
