Job description

FEC Team Lead

The Financial Economic Crimes (FEC) Team Lead will successfully lead the CT&I FEC team in assessing customer compliance risk to prevent fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, sanction breaches, and reputational risk. This position will lead and manage a team of FEC Specialist to protect DLL effectively and efficiently from these risk as well as its partners, both internal and external. The FEC Team Lead will operate as the subject matter expert and central point of contact for all FEC-related issues for the business.

Day to Day

  • Lead a team of FEC Specialists effectively, supporting team members in processing deals as well as being the central point of contact for escalations and approval for high-risk activities.
  • Grow and develop team members’ knowledge, skills, and abilities. Help in facilitating and supporting the next internal career step for team members.
  • Build and foster key relationships with internal stakeholders affected by FEC processes. Cultivate business relationships with our partners, working with them towards innovative and holistic solutions.
  • Adhere to Know Your Customer requirements. Review and validate Customer identification information.
  • Review and determine structure and transaction risk, validate customer source of funds, and other customer or transactional attributes.
  • Perform customer searches and research to identify adverse news and identify potential reputational risks.
  • Validate the Customer Compliance Risk Rating.
  • Perform and clear Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) alerts.
  • Identify and engage in continuous process improvement opportunities to continue to grow the FEC team and create a better product overall for our stakeholders – both internal and external

Essentials

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant working experience.
  • 1-3 years experience in financial services or banking compliance a strong plus.
  • 1-3 years experience within the Compliance, Risk, and Legal domain preferred, but not required.
  • Previous leadership experienced preferred – preferably leading a dynamic team in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to research business operations and analyze data.
  • Organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to succeed in a team-based working environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Strong internet navigation skills
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Knowledge of Pega Software system a plus

Applicable Pay Range

$70,849 - $106,273

DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
