Position:  High School Family and Consumer Science Teacher

Hours or FTE:  1.0 FTE                   Starting Date:  August 20, 2024

Job Description:  Stewartville School District is seeking growth-minded candidates interested in teaching High School level FCS courses, Courses related to food preparation, textiles, and human development and relationships are offered by our FCS department.
Qualifications/Degree:  MN Family and Consumer Sciences (Gr.5-12) Teaching License

Special Job Requirements:  Within federal and state law and regulations and district policies and practice:

• Responsible for the management of the instructional program and assigned students. 
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining an atmosphere conducive to learning   within the classroom and assisting in the same throughout the building. 
• Responsible for the assessment of student progress. 
• Responsible for ensuring the Minnesota State Standards are met. 
• Responsible for other duties as assigned by the building principal which are necessary to fulfill the basic function of the position and are consistent with the Master Agreement. 

Beginning Salary Range:   Per the Stewartville United Educators' Master Agreement
