JOB SUMMARY
The AM F&B Supervisor assists the F&B manager in executing the daily breakfast operations serving guests of our dual brand 316 room hotel. This supervisor assists the team in exceeding guest expectations and providing excellent customer service while leading a team. The AM F&B supervisor also assists the F&B Manager with the execution of Banquet and Catering events in our 6000 sq ft of meeting space during the breakfast and lunch meal periods. Flexibility is required for variable afternoon and evening shifts depending on business needs and volumes.
JOB DUTIES
- Supervise, guide and direct Restaurant/Room Service/Banquet employees. Provide accurate feedback on performance to the F&B Manager and provide coaching and counseling to employees to ensure exceptional service standards are met on every shift
- Assist servers, bussers and hosts on the floor during all meal periods.
- Ensure that department goals are communicated, understood and met by all employees.
- Ensure that Restaurant/Banquet/Room Service employees are trained on technical and service aspects of the job. (e.g., food or room preparation, customer service).
- Provide constructive feedback to employees to help them to perform and exceed standards of service.
- Assist the F&B Manager in continuing to develop and update training techniques and guidelines to meet market standards for service and execution.
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, establishing and maintaining dining room policies and procedures.
- Oversee Banquet events as directed the F&B Manager
- Monitor and inspect food and beverage deliveries.
- Assist with the organization and inventory maintenance of food and beverage
- Inspect food and beverage outlets for proper storage, sanitation, security, neatness and rotation of inventory.
- Work with management to ensure that employees have the necessary resources to effectively perform their jobs. (e.g., supplies, equipment)
- Responsible for Guest Satisfaction for food, beverage, hospitality and service standards.
- Responsible for engaging the guests at every table with to ensure quality and satisfaction of all guests during service.
- Provide a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with safety ecosure and Health Department requirements.
- Establish and maintain an effective communication and information system through logs, emails, daily and weekly meetings, and open communication with all departments.
- Supervise and reconcile cash controls for each shift.
- Collaborate with management to recognize and celebrate Restaurant/Banquet/Room Service employees’ performance contributions. (e.g. department recognition programs)
- Collaborate with management to develop and carry-out ideas and procedures to continuously improve the department’s performance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSHigh School graduate or equivalent
- Must have 2+ years previous Food and Beverage experience. Supervisory and/or management experience preferred.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Must work well with or without direct supervision.
- Must be neat and professional in appearance and demeanor at all times while on duty.
- Must be flexible, self-motivated, and positive and have a professional attitude towards guests, co-workers and management.
