Deliver prompt, excellent service to ensure an exceptional guest experience Observe guests frequently to ensure satisfaction, respond courteously to any guest request Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, daily specials, and any changes Take guest orders accurately, communicating any dietary restrictions or allergies to the kitchen Understands the POS system and its use - completes guest tickets in a consistent and accurate fashion so that precise information is received by the kitchen Monitor the quality of all food served/all areas visible to guests and maintain "snapshot of perfection" at all times Set up, restock, maintain and clean food serving and preparation area Maintain current CA Food Handlers Certificate Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, and county regulations and laws that pertain to possession or consumption of alcoholic beverages General Requirements: Education: High School Degree or equivalent Experience: Experience in a fine dining restaurant or related guest service environment Qualifications: Excellent customer service and hospitality skills Excellent oral & written communication skills, attention to detail Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure and interdepartmentally, with Restaurant, Kitchen, Spa and other Farmhouse departments Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time and complies with Farmhouse Inn standards Scheduling flexibility to meet operational needs, weekend & Holiday availability is required Physical Requirements: Pushing & Pulling: up to 20lbs frequently and 50lbs occasionally Lifting & Carrying: average weight 30lbs frequently Standing & Walking: constantly Kneeling & Bending: frequently Reaching: constantly Need to be able to work in a standing position for prolonged period of time Pay Range: The starting pay for this position is $16.00 per hour + gratuity. This is the pay for this position that Farmhouse Inn reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual pay will be based on a number of factors, such as experience and education.
