  • Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets
  • Develop strong and productive relationships with the client base, ensuring current and future service requirements are understood and satisfied at all levels
  • Contribute to the profitability and growth of the client base by delivering an excellent client experience, generating ideas and cross selling the firm’s products
  • Proactively address issues and challenges escalated by the client to identify efficient solutions
  • Contribute to the continued build and development of the Prime Finance platform and the Client Management Organization
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal HSBC teams including Sales, Credit Legal, IT, Operations, Trading, and various Global Markets execution teams
  • Build and maintain relationships with external clients at all levels including but not limited to CEOs, CIOs, Founders, COOs, CROs, PMs and Head of Operations
  • Closely monitor client activity and balances to ensure that market share is protected and grown
  • Identify opportunities to cross sell the firm products and innovative opportunities to grow revenue
  • Provide ‘added value’ service to clients utilising industry knowledge to be able to act as trusted advisor
  • Adhere to local regulatory policies applicable to the job holder
  • Develop close and effective working relationships within respective Regions/Countries/Functions/ Businesses
  • Be an ambassador for HSBC and the Prime Finance business, promoting both at every opportunity and trying to win new business as well as maintaining our reputation
  • Act on unusual/ unacceptable activity or behaviours and escalate appropriately
  • Where applicable, lead, develop and motivate the team to attract, retain and develop capacity, capability and talents with the required key relevant skills

Management of Risk

  • The jobholder will ensure the fair treatment of our customers is at the heart of everything we do, both personally and as an organisation
  • This will be achieved by consistently displaying the behaviours that form part of the HSBC Values and culture and adhering to HSBC risk policies and procedures, including notification and escalation of any concerns and taking required action in relation to points raised by audit and/or external regulators
  • The jobholder is responsible for managing and mitigating operational and conduct risks in their day to day operations. In executing these responsibilities, the Group has adopted risk management and internal control structures referred to as the 'Three Lines of Defence'. The job holder should understand their position within Three Lines of Defence and operate within operational risk policy, escalating in a timely manner where they are unsure

Observation of Internal Controls

  • The jobholder will adhere to, and be able to demonstrate adherence to, internal controls and will implement the Group compliance policy by adhering to all relevant processes/procedures, keeping appropriate records and, where appropriate, by the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, including issues raised by external regulators

For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $175,000 and $200,000.


The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years prior experience in prime brokerage Client Services and/or other relevant industry experience directly servicing hedge fund clients.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build client relationships at all levels.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial markets and products, including derivatives.
  • Well organized, detail oriented and motivated.
  • Series 7 and 63
