QUALIFICATIONS:

 

- A degree in animal science or related field is a plus, but not required
- 5+ years of experience in a management role within a comparable structure or operation
- Experience managing people is preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in breeding and raising livestock
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to professionally represent the farm in business and environmental areas
- Demonstrate understanding of operational planning, and financial and human resource management
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills
- An entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative working style

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

Hansen Agri-PLACEMENT is representing a Virginia farm in their search for an experienced Farm Manager. This person will lead farm operations with primary focus on maximizing quality and revenue from their cattle operations. They will provide consultation and support to additional farming operations. This person will create and preserve positive working climate, which encourages creative solutions and solid approaches. Lead and focus on business plan. This person will sustain top-quality operations while maintaining farm layout. Person will ensure business is conducted in a profitable, sound and ethical manner. This position provides a unique opportunity for a highly motivated, responsible, experienced, entrepreneurial manager to grow with a dynamic farm operation.
