The Independence Center is a local nonprofit that provides traditional and self-directed home health care for people with disabilities. Our mission is to work with people with disabilities, their families, and the community to create independence so all may thrive. As a member of our Home Health Care team, you'll truly be making a difference and become a part of a fantastic team!
We are seeking caring, compassionate family and Friend Caregivers to provide personal care, and homemaking services as directed by the client (who is their Family or Friend) and/or a physician. You'll perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy services under the direction and supervision of the therapist/RN, as well as personal and household services essential to health care at home.
We are hiring the following positions:
1. Personal Care Attendant (PCA)
2. Personal Care Worker (PCW)
3. Homemaker (HMKR)
What We Provide
The Independence Center offers a supportive work environment, competitive pay, and great benefits including:
Full-time employees (30+ hours per week) may qualify for additional benefits.
Salary: $15 per hour
Job Responsibilities
Simple procedures: May include range of motion exercises, bowel program/digital stimulation, urinary catheter care, wound care, etc.
Personal care activities: May include bathing, shampooing, skin/nail care, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, etc.
Household care: May include meal preparation/feeding, laundry duties, and light housekeeping (e.g. doing dishes, cleaning bathroom, emptying trash, etc.).

- Must be 18 years of age.
- Able to lift, push, pull between 25-50 lbs.
- Complete Personal Care Attendant training. We'll train you!
