JOB DESCRIPTION: Multi-specialty medical group serving the Greater Greensboro area is currently recruiting a Family Medicine physician to join one of their office locations. Inpatient care is covered 24/7 by the Hospitalists. “Call” is by phone only and is 1 week every 5 weeks. HOSPITAL: The group is a physician-owned, physician-led multi-specialty medical group of more than 55 physicians serving the Greater Greensboro area. Patients of the group who require hospitalization are admitted and followed by Hospitalists. Communications among the family physicians and the hospitalists are excellent. At the 3 hospitals, there is a comprehensive range of secondary and tertiary level diagnostic and treatment services and 800+ beds. The Family Medicine residency program is affiliated with UNC Medical Center. COMMUNITY: The community is a city of 300,000 people, with a regional population of approximately 1.6 million. It is located in the central “Piedmont” area of North Carolina, within easy driving distance of both the mountains and the beach via Interstate 40 and several other major highways. There is a four-season climate - winter is very short and moderate! The Piedmont Triad International airport in Greensboro has 6 different airlines and 65+ flights daily, direct to major cities in the East, South and Midwest.
