SUMMARY OF DUTIES
Under the supervision of the Program Manager, the Family Advocate is primarily responsible for providing families with linkages to community resources, creating and following up on family assessments and supportive services to families in the program, ERSEA , Education, and Health requirements
EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
- High school Diploma. Must be willing to purse Family Service Worker certification upon hire.
EXPERIENCE
- Six months plus. Two years experience in human services field and work with children and families preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills.Ability to work as a team member. Able to work flexible hours to meet families' schedules, including evenings and weekends. Driving requirements.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

CPR and First Aid certification required upon hire.

OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and use of personal vehicle to transport clients, as needed, as well as a willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island.
