Job Summary:
The Guest Services Representative at Onix Hospitality plays a vital role in ensuring a positive guest experience. You will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and addressing their needs promptly and efficiently. This position requires a friendly and professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly welcome, ensuring a smooth check-in process
- Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with guest check-out and ensure accurate billing
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure guest needs are met
- Anticipate guest needs and go above and beyond to provide personalized service
- Promote and upsell hotel amenities and services to enhance the guest experience
- Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure guest rooms are clean and ready for arrival
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and securely
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality or customer service is a plus
- Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word and Excel
- Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and procedures is an asset
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
- Excellent manual dexterity for operating computer systems and handling guest luggage
- Clear and audible speech for effective communication with guests and team members
