Job description

FMG is seeking an experienced marketing director to oversee strategy and post sale Client Activations for Fairchild Media Group’s WWD, Beauty Inc, Footwear News, Sourcing Journal, Rivet, Fairchild Live, and Fairchild Studio. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in ideation, marketing strategy and client facing project management along with a deep knowledge and interest in B2B marketing, live events, and news, who thrives in a busy, collaborative news environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the concept, strategy, development, implementation, execution, and performance of partnership activations & activities for live event sponsors, webinars and custom marketing programs
  • Serve as client main point of contact while ushering the development of creative & promotional deliverables; Safeguard successful delivery of client KPI and measurable ROI
  • Set and maintain project timelines and mange client communication during all phases of pre- and post-sale to program close
  • Create partner kick-off call decks and lead regular client status calls
  • Work in tandem with Marketing, Sales, Events & Creative Services to create partnership materials including sell sheets, collateral, and recaps
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ideate, pitch, and shepherd strategic partnership initiatives and experiential offerings
  • Ensure complete fulfillment of sponsorship contracts, vendor onboarding and payments
  • Partner with live events on production & logistics

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of the publishing, marketing, partnerships, and events business and methodologies
  • Comfortable with an operationsheavy, handson role
  • Excellent project management, logistics and resourcing skill set
  • Exemplary time management, organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting multiple deadline
  • 7-10 years of event and publishing industry experience
  • Proven history of delivering best-in-class programs
  • Exceptional copy writing and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of design and print production processes
  • Flexible with necessary extra hours and travel, as required

Typical wage range: $120k – 145k

Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements, a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits including 401(k) eligibility and paid time off benefits. PMC is committed to the health and wellness of our employees. As part of our company-wide rollout of PMC’s paid healthcare plan, for this role the company pays 100% of the monthly health, dental and vision plan premiums for the employee and their family. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
