FACULTY AFFAIRS ANALYST
Administrative Analyst Specialist II
Office of Faculty Affairs
Salary Range: $5,022 - $9,083/Monthly (Salary budgeted at $5022-$6037/Monthly)
Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; exempt classification.
Essential Functions: The Faculty Affairs Analyst works with the Director of Faculty Affairs and Associate Vice President of Faculty Affairs (AVP-FA) to provide administrative support and analysis for academic personnel management in the Division of Academic Affairs, CFA Unit 3 and UAW Unit 11 employees. The incumbent will assist with: administration of personnel programs including faculty recruitment, retention and demographics, sabbatical and other leaves; compensation; workload management; consultation with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness; chair evaluations; retirement programs; retention and tenure process using Interfolio (including range elevation); and faculty relations. Ensures compliance with applicable regulations or requirements governing these programs, and review of assigned time and additional employment processes. The incumbent also provides general support for the daily activities of the Office of Faculty Affairs as needed. Work requires regular participation in planning and development activities and as required, independent determination of methods to meet programmatic or administrative goals.
Required Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Demonstrated consultative skills in working with internal and external constituent groups. Experience providing excellent customer service and teamwork skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to: analyze, interpret and evaluate data to develop sound conclusions and recommend new or revised policies and practices; understand problems from a broad, interactive perspective and discern applicable underlying principles to conceive of and develop strategic solutions; work with representative from public and private entities and handle potentially sensitive situations; effectively present ideas and concepts in written or presentation format; and use consultative and facilitation skills to gain consensus. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.

Desired Qualifications: Master's degree. Experience working in an academic environment. Knowledge of University policies and procedures and CSU Collective bargaining agreements. Ability to apply knowledge to academic personnel administration.
