PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a Facility Operations Specialist at the Naval Surface Warfare Center South Florida Ocean Measurement Facility, (SFOMF). You will have an opportunity to provide hands on guidance and leadership in the planning and implementing of all facets of the Navy marine facility operations. The applicant shall work on site with some off-site work from home available on a weekly basis.
The applicant will provide Facility and Financial management support to the day-to-day demands and activities in an organized, effective, and efficient manner. Specifically, the applicant duties will include:
- Provide direct support to the facility Site Director on all facility related operations, security, safety, and other NAVSEA compliance requirements.
- Ability to manage all financials related to the operations of the SFOMF as directed
- Preparing a variety of documents, letters, emails, reports, spreadsheets and presentations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate’s Degree (or equivalent experience), plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with developing budgets and maintaining financials for marine operations
- Job experience with Navy or other DoD organizations is a plus
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including a thorough understanding and application of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word)
- Ability to Plan, organize and execute the logistical support of periodic on-site inspections and facility visits.
- Knowledge of Navy correspondence rules and regulations, Defense Travel System (DTS), and web-based systems such as ERP is preferred
- Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures for local Environmental Safety and Health Regulations work practices.
- Ability to resolve potential activities or conflicts related to Facilities operations.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation a plus.
