Facility Coordinator assists with the day-to-day physical record center operations, including operating
and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning/refrigeration, electrical, structural, carpentry
and plumbing systems.
Primary Functions:
? Assists with third party contractors, (including but not limited to sprinkler inspections & repairs,
snow removal, electrical contractors,) and internal cross-functional teams in the maintenance,
repair, maintenance and upgrading of the entire facility.
? Assists with all racking upgrades at the facility.
? Assists with maintaining the operating condition of buildings and equipment and completes
simple repairs.
? Conduct maintenance, service and repairs on the physical structure including the areas of
plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, electrical or vehicle servicing.
? Utilizes knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or heating and
cooling skills in performing assignments.
? Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
? Supports all maintenance standards within the branch in order to ensure a safe and secure
working environment for all team members.
? Responsible for performing facility and grounds upkeep and repairs.
Secondary Functions:
? Participate in safety and security drills and advise the appropriate manager of any violations.
? Know and understand defined role in the Company Disaster Recovery Plan.
? Travel between facilities when necessary.
? Collaborate with team members.
? Participate in monthly safety meetings.
Other Responsibilities:
? Comply with all company policies and procedures.
? Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Years of Experience:
? High School Diploma or equivalent required.
? Must have valid driver’s license.
? Three years facilities management experience required.
? Mechanical experience a plus.
Certifications, Licenses, Credentials:
? None
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
? Must be knowledgeable in the procedures and safety measures in areas of specialties.
? Production Maintenance experience preferred.
? Must have an understanding of OSHA rules and regulations.
? Must possess basic knowledge of trade skills (carpentry, mechanical, electrical).
? Strong organizational and verbal communication skills required.
? Understands performance procedures on a wide variety of repairs, modifications and
preventative maintenance on building and facilities equipment, fixtures and systems.
? Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
? Ability to use hand and power tools and to work independently.
? Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
? Able to function effectively in a team environment composed of both technical and management
personnel to resolve issues quickly and economically.
? Must have the ability to make decisions independently when required.
Physical Requirements (lifting, etc.):
? Routine lifting of 20-100 pounds.
? Overhead reaching with hands and arms.
? Routine bending and stretching.
? Able to operate forklift and/or pick lift.
? Must be able to operate pallet jacks, as well as support racking reconfiguration.
? Must be able to climb stairs and use tools to maneuver materials.
