Position Objective:
The Facilities Technician role reports to the Advanced Engineering Shop Supervisor and is responsible for performing day-to-day facilities activities such as Shipping and Receiving, warehouse organization, building maintenance, supplies, general facilities clean up, snow/ice removal, and AME shop inventory control. Facilities Technicians will be required to perform various maintenance duties on facility and equipment. Will also be required to modify, clean, disassemble, assemble, and test out machinery and equipment under the direction of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Shop Supervisor.
Key Accountabilities:
• Safety is upmost important and is the responsibility each individual. Must lead by example and help drive the Company’s Safety 24/7 Culture while being compliant 100% of the time bringing attention to risk and/or near hits.
• Coordinate Logistics- Schedule pickups and receives deliveries.
• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Disassemble and assemble new or modified mechanical and electrical components for industrial machinery or testing equipment.
• Fabricates and assembles structural metal products, such as framework for machinery and metal parts for production machinery according to job order, verbal instructions, and/or blueprints.
• Coordinate waste disposal.
• Perform facilities maintenance tasks including facility Air Compressor, Pump, and Dryer
• Assist others, clearly communicate ideas for improvement in a professional manner, demonstrate good attitude and be a positive, encouraging team member.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, technical degree preferred;
- Licenses or certifications are beneficial;
- Ability to maintain inventory of materials, spare parts, equipment and hand tools;
- Ability to use hand and power tools for mechanical and electrical tasks;
- Use of computers and computer systems (including hardware and software);
- Must be able to use power tools for crate building and shipment preparation;
- Forklift Operation;
- Scissor Lift Operation;
- Floor Scrubber Operation.
