The Facilities Technician is responsible for preserving the excellent condition and functionality of all our locations throughout Rhode Island and Connecticut. The Facilities Technician collaborates with a team of skilled technicians to ensure our buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and functional. The home base for this position is in our historic West Warwick, RI location.
- Responsible for the daily security inspection of the exterior and interior premises of the West Warwick location according to the bank’s opening procedures.
- Work with a team of technicians to support scheduled and non-scheduled work order related activities. Utilizes the work order system to log activities as required.
- Perform general maintenance, building repairs and routine tasks such as groundskeeping, trash pick-up, cleaning, patching, painting, installation of fixtures, cubicle and furniture moving, light plumbing and construction repairs.
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure all safety, mechanical, and electrical equipment is maintained and functioning properly. Identifies, reports/corrects any property condition issues as part of everyday delivery of service.
- Plan and schedules repairs.
- Liaison for vendors when accessing the buildings to conduct scheduled services. Works with or assists trades contractors to complete projects or repairs.
- Support the set up and breakdown of furniture and props for meetings and special events.
- Maintain inventory of facility and primary breakroom supplies.
- Maintain storage room organization and inventory.
- Provides courier service to transport items between locations.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail including sealing, weighing, posting, and sorting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years of facilities/maintenance experience.
- Ability to lift/carry fifty pounds, walking, standing, bending, kneeling, work overhead and climb a six-foot ladder.
- Ability to use power and manual hand tools properly and safely.
- Knowledge of the principles and techniques of basic carpentry, light plumbing, painting, and routine maintenance.
- Ability to follow directions, work within a team and independently.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to work extended hours or overtime if needed.
- Valid driver’s license.
