POSITION SUMMARY

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- For all FEC facilities (including Flathead valley locations, Libby, Cooke City, and all substations), assist/provide support with a variety of facility (inside and out) maintenance duties, to include, but not limited to:
- Assist in general maintenance of FEC facilities.
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and basic repairs.
- Provide support for the operation of heating and cooling systems.
- Provide support for basic maintenance tasks for doors, elevators, and fire sprinkler systems.
- Perform various grounds maintenance, to include but not limited to daily trash pick-up, summer lawn and plant care, snow removal and de-icing of parking lots and sidewalks, fence and gate repair, irrigation system maintenance and operation, etc.
- Perform minor carpentry or office-related task as needed.
- Help maintain substation buildings and related grounds.
- For FEC security, assist/provide support with variety of duties, to include, but not limited to:
- Collaborate with the Physical Security Team on basic security initiatives.
- Make recommendations to Physical Security Team regarding project and management strategies as it relates to security processes and equipment.
- Assist in coordinating regular inspection and maintenance of all security devices (cameras, panic alarms and keypads, etc.) on the premises.
- Assist in coordinating regular inspection and maintenance of all safety devices (fire extinguishers, AED devices, fire alarms, etc.) on the premises.
- Implement security awareness programs for employees.
- Utilize the security software to set up new and current employees with proper access to doors, gates, offices, etc.
- Monitor and, if needed, review security camera footage for various reasons to include but not limited to; possible break in’s, theft, member payment/receipt discrepancies, etc.
- Assist in the coordination of replacing or updating any equipment or security programs as needed.
4. Must be able to prioritize projects and assist in obtaining cost estimates.
5. Maintain communication with supervisor concerning any hazardous conditions, or any conditions requiring immediate attention. In the absence of direct supervisor, maintain communication with another appropriate member of FEC management team.
6. Performance of all job responsibilities should include a high level of productivity, loyalty, professionalism, teamwork, compliance with applicable policies, procedures and regulations, individual development, and the successful completion of all assigned responsibilities.
7. Always assist members/vendors/employees and the general public in a courteous and professional manner ensuring their continued satisfaction with FEC. Work in harmony and show respect to all fellow employees in order to promote an effective and pleasant working environment.
8. In pursuit of zero workplace incidents, promote and maintain a positive safety culture while adhering to all applicable policies outlined in the Safety Manual. Report all incidents and potential safety hazards in a timely manner to Safety Coordinator.
9. Become familiar with and keep current with FEC objectives and applicable policies.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by management applying the same skill and enthusiasm as with regularly assigned responsibilities.
MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Supervision: No Experience Supervising Required.
Computer Skills: Proficient on computer, including Microsoft Office 365 and operating systems relating to the utility industry.
Certificates & Licenses: None.
Other Qualifications:
- Valid Montana Drivers License and be insurable to drive FEC vehicles.
- Be a team player with effective verbal and written skills.
- Able to travel occasionally out-of-area and/or overnight.
- Able to work 40 hours per week with additional time as needed.
- Able to respond to maintenance issues or other needs at any time, including nights and weekends.
- Assume responsibility without direct supervision, display initiative and exercise good judgment.
- Legible handwriting.
- Be organized, accurate and exercise strong attention to detail.
- Exhibit excellent member relations and customer service skills.
- Able to establish and maintain working relationships with a variety of individuals, some of whom have opposing points of view.

Will be working mostly outdoors in all types of weather and terrain.
