About The Role

Position is responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and repairs of bank property and equipment, and related functions.  Position ensures all bank property is neat, clean, orderly, safe, and ready for daily business operations. 

 

During winter months, start time will be earlier to ensure sidewalks are clear.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Provide prompt and courteous service to all internal and external customers, supporting the goals and mission of the bank.

 

Perform a visual structural damage and security check of bank premises daily. Change security sign for employees before start of business. Report all problems to your supervisor or Branch Manager.  Complete periodic security checklists for FSB and GBCI, as required.

 

Monitor and maintain branch equipment and systems to ensure their proper operation and report any problems to the Branch Manager. Report applicable issues to FSB Security group on the weekly non-emergency sheet as directed by the Branch Manager.

 

Keep interior and exterior of buildings in clean and orderly condition and ensure all bank property is neat, clean, safe, and ready for business on a daily basis.

 

Supervise, schedule, direct, assist, and provide back up to the custodian depending on the region to perform custodial duties including, but not limited to emptying trash cans, consolidating daily shred bins, dusting, vacuuming, mopping floors, washing interior and exterior windows, and cleaning restrooms.

 

Perform maintenance duties including, but not limited to light plumbing, light HVAC, painting, carpentry, and light electrical work.

 

Ensure clean sidewalks, parking lots, and grounds all year and in all types of weather conditions, including performing and/or scheduling vendors to perform snow removal.

 

Coordinate with vendors to maintain the irrigation system and to perform maintenance duties, such as window washing, weed spraying, bug spraying, etc. Perform other duties related to landscaping and lawn work, such as weeding flower beds and mowing/trimming grass, bushes, and trees.

 

Order janitorial, kitchen, maintenance, and office supplies, as needed, and store items received from vendors.

 

Regularly assist other branches within the region with maintenance tasks, as assigned.

 

Attend periodic safety and security meetings.

 

Assist branch team in organizing bank events, including setting up trailers for parade floats, arranging decorations for Big Days, moving, and assembling items as needed.

 

Pick up and take branch mail to the post office each day.

 

Occasionally design and build structural bank equipment (i.e., carts, bulletin boards, etc.). Move and arrange desks, furniture, and partitions as needed.

 

Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by your supervisor or the Branch Manager.


About You

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • One year of maintenance experience, preferably in a commercial building environment.
  • General knowledge of, and experience in at least one area of maintenance: plumbing, painting, carpentry, or electrical work.
  • A high school degree or GED is required.
  • Must possess current valid driver’s license.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY:

 

Working knowledge of standard office equipment. Basic computer skill with working knowledge or ability to learn various office software.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:  Must be able to routinely perform work both indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level and outside in sometimes inclement weather.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.
