Leading Medical Facility is seeking a full-time, (Tuesday-Saturday 8am- 5pm or End of Session) Facility Support Specialist. Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean clinic environment by handling basic housekeeping, environmental care, and facilities maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Work with Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to ensure Facility is compliant with regulations
- Report all broken equipment to CAO
- Perform small repairs; accompany and assist third-party repair persons/vendors when necessary
- Replace light bulbs throughout facility (including exit signs)
- Change oxygen & nitrous oxide tanks
- Check fire extinguishers, record and update corresponding forms
- Check emergency lights, record and update corresponding forms
- Conduct monthly generator test and maintain appropriate records
- Empty and dispose of garbage in appropriate dumpsters and or containers
- Report all clogged toilets throughout facility
- Adjust thermostats as needed
- Assist with ordering supplies, maintain stock room, and distribution of supplies throughout facility
- Serves as backup for security
- In collaboration with Housekeeping, responsible for all maintenance of facility, including perimeter
- Responsible for moving/assembling furniture
- Other duties as directed
Skills
- Proven experience as custodian, janitor or in a medical facility.
- Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
- Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
- Familiarity with basic handyman practices
- Attention to detail and conscientiousness
- Very good physical condition and strength
- High school diploma is preferred but not required
- NYC Fire Department Certifications: P98, Cat. F07 & Cat. G71 - Must have upon passing probationary period (90 days)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
