SUMMARY
The Facilities Supervisor will direct and implement maintenance programs aimed at maintaining a zero-defect environment for guests. Within this responsibility the Facilities Supervisor will inspect, maintain, and repair all mechanical, electrical, and other equipment used by the guest or affecting the quality of their experience while visiting the property. The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for maintaining repairs in all departments associated with KwaTaqNuk. Develops and administers program to ensure employee safety and agency compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations for the facilities, operations and visiting public.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Respond in a courteous manner to guest questions, complaints, or requests.
  • Plan, organize, and implement a maintenance program for the property.
  • Obtain and use proper equipment for the various maintenance and repair activities required to maintain all property systems.
  • Arrange for training for oneself, and other maintenance employees, if necessary, to ensure safe and appropriate procedures will always be followed.
  • Use appropriate checklists to perform scheduled inspections of all guests rooms and public areas.
  • Report to the Facility Manager on all hazards in all guest and employee areas. Advise and discuss all major repairs with the Facility Manager before calling a company to fix damaged items.
  • Direct a program of grouting around bathtubs, grab bars, and soap dishes in guest/public bathrooms.
  • Ensure that staff properly maintain pool equipment and maintain proper pH conditions of the water.
  • Ensure all electronic locks on guest room and public access doors are working properly. Must be able to change batteries in unit and install new locking devices when necessary.
  • Follow schedule for maintaining all major drains and sewage lines to prevent stoppages.
  • Make a list and specify the location of all electric power switches, resets, and circuit breakers.
  • Maintain and/or repair all HVAC systems.
  • Make a list and specify the location of all shut-off valves and what they control.
  • Follow inspection and lubrication schedule for all motors and belts.
  • Follow condenser-cleaning schedule of refrigeration equipment.
  • Clean and/or change all air filters on a regular basis.
  • Checks and makes minor repairs on general plumbing systems, and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets, and sinks.
  • Utilizing basic hand and power tools required for general maintenance.
  • Utilizing all safety procedures, i.e., eye protection, gloves, and other safety equipment
  • Maintains tools, workspaces, and equipment.
  • Cleans work area and property as needed.
  • Completing preventive maintenance checklists, maintenance requests and other maintenance records
  • Ensure that all maintenance requests have been reviewed to see if it is an immediate priority and prioritize as needed.
  • Maintain outside sprinkler system; maintain all grounds and buildings associated with KwaTaqNuk Resort. This includes storage sheds off property.
  • Maintain all roads associated with KwaTaqNuk Resort, including but not limited to snow plowing.
  • Conducts scheduled and unscheduled inspections of the facilities and other S&K Gaming locations to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and guidelines.
  • The Safety Officer is responsible for monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations.
  • Developing measures to assure personnel safety.
  • Correct unsafe acts or conditions through the regular line of authority.
  • May exercise emergency authority to prevent or stop unsafe acts when immediate action is required.
  • The Safety Officer maintains awareness of active and developing situations.
  • Inspects the site to ensure it is a hazard-free environment.
  • Verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.
  • Promotes safe practices at the job site.
  • Enforces safety guidelines.
  • Trains and carries out drills and exercises on how to manage emergency situations.
  • Conducts investigations of all accidents and near misses.
  • Conducts job hazardous analysis.
  • Establishes safety standards and policies as needed.
  • Watches out for the safety of all workers and works to protect them from entering hazardous situations.
  • Responds to employees safety concerns.
  • Coordinates registration and removal of hazardous waste
  • Conduct risk assessment and enforce preventative measures.
  • Review existing policies and measures and update.
  • Inspect premises and work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g., not using protective equipment)
  • Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to the Facility Manager.
  • Conducts or provides for the conduct of employee training, including classroom lectures, demonstrations, hands-on instruction, and seminars.
  • Conducts monthly Safety Meetings.
  • Ensures that the agency complies with all environmental regulations regarding hazardous substance handling and disposal.
  • Complying with policies and procedures of Rules and Regulations, KwaTaqNuk Handbook and OSHA regulations
  • Maintain a teamwork attitude.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of maintenance experience
  • Any equivalent combination of experience/education will be considered.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGULATIONS:
  • A Certified Pool Operator must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Valid Montana drivers license and be insurable under the companys insurance policy
  • EPA Class A & Class B Underground Storage Tank Operator Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • OSHA 30-hour general Industry Certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Hazardous Waste 101 Certification must be obtained within one year of hire
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Training within 90 days of hire.
  • OSHA 7405 Fall Protection in Construction must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Accident Investigation must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Internal Safety Audits must be obtained within one year of hire.
  • Forklift Safety.
  • Slip Trips & Falls.
  • Confined Space - Lock Out/Tag out.
  • Required to watch Customer Service video annually.
  • Required to watch Sexual Harassment video every two (2) years.
  • Will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and as a condition of employment will be subject to random drug testing.
  • It is always the responsibility of the employee to always have all documents current and valid.
