Position Purpose: The Facilities Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of projects and daily departmental processes, including planning, budgeting, monitoring, control, and closure of projects. Through contacts with users, architects, engineers, and code officials, the employee will be involved with all phases of design and construction management including user programming, design, construction, close-out/evaluation, and budget reporting.
- Responsible for all phases of project, assigning individual responsibilities, coordinating activities of the project team, identifying appropriate internal and external resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure the timely completion of projects. Manages cost, scope, schedule, resources, and risk throughout projects. Identifies risk to project delivery and develops mitigating strategies to avoid or minimize potential negative outcomes. Manages and reports variances according to the developed project plan.
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously, understanding interdependencies and constrained resources. Phase projects accordingly to meet client needs as they affect other departments or patient care operations. Serves as a technical resource to other Project Managers and Facilities staff.
- Maintains a deep understanding of Saint Anthony Hospital’s internal administrative systems and existing capabilities, to support the operations team in the efforts to drive operational efficiencies and provide solutions to a variety of business challenges. Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
- Manages project planning process, including reviewing design and construction documents for completeness, construct ability, coordination of discipline, and adherence to all regulatory agency guidelines; facilitating and performing value engineering; identifying and securing all resources, soliciting or preparing construction cost estimates; managing selection of consultants, vendors, and contractors from request for proposal through contract negotiations and agreement.
- Collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide training and information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, which may include Computer Science, Business, or Engineering, required
- At least three years of related experience is required
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM,) or comparable certifications are highly desirable. PMP or Lean Six Sigma Certification is required within one year of hire.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong spreadsheet and database skills
- Ability to execute project management leveraging Lean Process Improvement methodologies and proven skill in effective execution
