Role: The Facilities Project Coordinator is responsible for identifying project requirements, scopes, and objectives that align with organizational goals for all ORNL Federal Credit Union locations. The Facilities Project Coordinator tracks project performance, determines and maintains proper communication channels, and assists the VP Facilities in day to day activities.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Coordinates internal and external project resources, ensuring that projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget. Assigns and monitors resources effectively to boost efficiency and maximize deliverables output. Works with management to delegate roles and tasks to team members based on their individual strengths and abilities.
- Serves as the point of communication for the VP Facilities, company teams/stakeholders, and external resources, including third-party vendors and researchers. Ensures project stakeholders receive proper communication by scheduling regular update meetings throughout the project. Ensures documentation is maintained throughout the length of the project including communication of project plans, actions, site visits, issues, and risks. Reports project risks and outcomes to appropriate management channels and escalates issues according to project work plans.
- Develops and maintains the project performance database for progress tracking and milestone achievement documentation. When necessary, adapts the project scope or timeline to achieve optimal results. Ensures all aspects of a project are organized and in conformance with the timeline and deliverables requirements.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned, including project plan recordkeeping and gathering materials for in-process jobs.
Experience: Two or more years in project coordination is required. Team-management and leadership skills is preferred.
Education: High school education or equivalent is required.

- Must have strong organizational skills, be detail oriented and customer focused.
