Build your career with IU Health! We have an exciting opportunity available for a Facilities Manager to join our team at our Bedford and Paoli Hospitals .
The Facilities Manager serves as the business unit facility leader in planning and developing facilities and new construction. Directs projects (e.g. site repairs/construction, preventive maintenance, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring completion within established time frames, project design and budget. Exercises optimal utilization of personnel and other resources. Oversees the functioning of building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, NFPA, NEX, LS, and elevators. Oversees contractors for facility renovation projects entailing HVAC, electrical systems, and production floor arrangement. Inspects new construction, repair work, projects, equipment, work orders, daily maintenance and supplies for the purpose of ensuring that jobs are completed efficiently; specifications for major capital improvements are within local/state/federal regulations; and approving inspection reports and payment requests. Deep understanding of industry maintenance coding. Performs other duties as assigned. May oversee multiple support service functions or departments (Security, Environmental Services, etc.).

- Requires a minimum of 3 years relevant experience leading teams and 5 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical or other utility systems.
- Requires an in depth knowledge of hazardous material management, NFPA Life Safety Code, State Fire Marshall and NFPA 99 requirements.
- Requires comprehensive understanding of codes and regulations associated with maintenance utility operation including the requirements of the JCAHO, SDOH, OSHA, and other federal, state and local agencies.

- Associate's Degree in a technical or business discipline is required or equivalent years of experience. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
