About the Role:
The Maintenance Facilties Technician is a member of the plant maintenance team that supports factory operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facilities, building, and grounds equipment and structure. This position is on day shift, Monday through Friday 7am to 3pm. Overtime is required based on business needs.
Main Responsibilities:
Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the facility structure equipment and grounds including plumbing and electrical
Source and coordinate with vendors, contractors and suppliers for Facilities Maintenance services repairs and supplies ensuring cost effectiveness and timely delivery
Performs trades work such as carpentry, painting, repair or alteration of structures such as walls or office fixtures
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all commercial electrical plumbing waste water and other building systems
Assist with project management related to facilities buildings and grounds
Perform Preventive Maintenance of buildings grounds and facilities according to facility PPM schedule Interface with Maintenance Planner to plan schedule and execute work
Installation and/or modification of new and existing facilities equipment
Assists in ordering tracking and inventorying materials and spare parts and in maintaining critical spare parts list inventory specific to building and facilities
Utilize SAP Plant Maintenance CMMS system to document activities such as planned work repair and future work needed
Process work orders and purchase requisitions related to building and facilities services
Maintain communication with the Maintenance Supervisor and Planner for status of work requests purchase requests and facilities repairs and projects
Use of SAP and Microsoft programs including Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word and specific company software
Participate in and support the Ferrero Professional Maintenance and Ferrero Operational Excellence systems
Perform other duties as assigned
Who we are looking for:
- Associates degree or maintenance related certificate or equivalent experience in Facilities Maintenance or Industrial Maintenance field
- 3 years of prior experience as Facilities Maintenance Technician OR 2 year technical degree in Industrial Maintenance
- Prior work experience must include troubleshooting and repairing of building and facilities machinery
- Must be able to work overtime when required
- Able to work with computers navigating systems recording information locating information necessary to perform the job
- Able to use basic mathematical skills in order to perform machine and mechanical systems maintenance calibrations and repairs
- Working knowledge in the area of pipefitting and rigging
- Basic knowledge of steam distribution systems and principles
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic principles
- Strong communication skills
- Critical thinking skills
