SUMMARY
RESPONSIBILITIES
The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.
- Maintenance and Repair: Responsible for conducting routine maintenance tasks, such as inspecting and servicing equipment, troubleshooting issues, and repairing any mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems. This includes HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing fixtures, and other essential equipment.
- Equipment Installation: Aids in the installation of new equipment or systems in the facility. May include coordinating with vendors or contractors, ensuring proper installation according to specifications, and conducting testing and commissioning activities.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensures that the facility meets all safety and regulatory requirements. Conducts regular inspections, identify potential hazards or compliance issues, and take appropriate actions to address them. Maintains records, updates documentation, and implements safety protocols.
- Team Leadership: Responsible for supervising contractors, service providers and others. This involves assigning tasks, providing guidance, verifying training, and monitoring their performance. You will also need to coordinate work schedules and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient operations.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Expected to diagnose equipment malfunctions or system failures, analyze problems, and develop effective solutions. Utilization of strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work under pressure to resolve issues promptly.
- Inventory and Budget Management: Responsible for maintaining an inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance and repair activities. Additionally, may assist in budget planning and management, including estimating costs, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Documentation and Reporting: Keeps accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections is essential. Document work orders, maintenance logs, equipment manuals, and other relevant information. Generate & disseminate reports on maintenance metrics, equipment performance, and budget utilization.
- Determines, analyzes, recommends, and provides tools, PPE, equipment, tools for job completion.
- Assists in the performance of accident &/or incident investigations, apply corrective actions as required and within time requirements.
- Participates in departmental meetings to communicate changes, updates to employees regarding business requirements, safety, policies, procedures, and practices.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree &/or related technical certification or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of related experience working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
- Experienced working safely with a variety of forklifts/ scissor lifts and machine shop equipment
- Ability to lead/influence others effectively and respectfully supporting a healthy workplace
- Demonstrated problem solving skills; solution oriented when faced with challenges
- Ability to train others who possess a wide variety of learning styles in a wide variety of tasks
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
- Communicate effectively & professionally in both verbal and written formats across the organization.
- Professional positive-can do attitude and behavior, regardless of the situation.
