We are seeking a versatile Restaurant Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for the general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property, in addition to ground maintenance. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform facilities enhancement projects, complete necessary building & appliance repairs, and perform preventive procedures in a manner responsive to customer/employee safety and to preserve company assets in a safe and cost-effective manner.
The efforts of the Facilities Maintenance Technician will have a direct effect on the quality and cleanliness of the restaurant, and the overall atmosphere.
Job responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
· Perform routine maintenance and repairs on restaurant equipment and facilities, such as refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, and restrooms.
· Inspect the premises to identify any safety or sanitation concerns.
· Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs, such as changing lightbulbs or repairing leaks.
· Troubleshoot and address any mechanical issues with restaurant equipment.
· Ensure that all areas of the restaurant are clean and properly maintained.
· Clean and organize storage areas and dispose of all waste materials in a safe and responsible manner.
· Maintain an inventory of supplies and order additional items as necessary.
· Provide prompt and courteous service to customers and employees.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Great communication skills. Capable of working independently with the ability to follow the directions of others and/or defined objectives
- Capable of easily adapting and solving problems in an expedient manner
- Must be self-disciplined, highly organized, responsive, and possess the ability to take initiative in dealing with routine issues as they are discovered
- Knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, and related restaurant equipment systems
- Must be able to lift 80 lbs., and be comfortable with heights, ladders, and scaffolding
- Training will be provided
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
