Works with the Corporate Facilities Property Management team to provide support for the corporate office campus business units. Primarily responsible for general maintenance of office campus facilities and break-fix or preventative maintenance models. The focus is specifically associated with heating ventilation and air conditioning and the corresponding building control systems, with the objective of retaining or restoring all systems at a state in which it can perform its required function. What You'll Be Doing:
- General handyman skills required.
- Work assignments may include painting, wall patching, and minor plumbing, carpentry work, snow clearing, furniture repairs and adjustments.
- Assists Facility Maintenance Mechanics in maintenance and repairs of building systems.
- Assists Facility Maintenance Mechanics in preventive maintenance for refrigeration and HVAC systems according to manufacturer specifications and Meijer standards.
- Performs professional diagnosis and processing of refrigeration and HVAC alarms using appropriate building management software. Troubleshoots mechanical and electrical problems, performs repairs, documents solutions and makes recommendations for further action as required.

What You'll Bring With You:
- High School Diploma or GED, Formal education in HVAC-R required.
- Minimum of two years of direct, hands-on experience with commercial refrigeration equipment.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of building construction and systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, HVAC, etc.).
- Must be willing to pursue licensing requirements appropriate for the Facility Maintenance Mechanic role.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with all levels of office personnel, including senior organization leadership.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of and ability to use various hand and power tools, metering devices, cutting torches, and related equipment required to maintain and repair refrigeration /HVAC equipment.
- Working knowledge of low voltage control systems
- Working knowledge of regulatory compliance
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work schedule based on work guidelines as provided
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude including 480V A/C
- Strong customer service focus and orientation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
