The primary location of this position is on the main Cullowhee, NC campus.
Provide needed trade capability for the maintenance, repair, alteration, or construction of structural building components. Additional responsibilities include maintenance, repair, and installation of facilities hardware components. This position is performing at journey-level in at least one of the following trades: carpentry, cabinet making, roofing, concrete, masonry, and building hardware; such as windows, hinges, and other related components. The scope of this position overlaps into the areas usually associated with construction: drywall or wall covering, ceiling installation, floor coverings, and trim work.
A valid Driver’s License is required for this position.
Knowledge of standard procedures and practices of carpentry, masonry, roofing, paint trades and cabinet making trades. Skilled in use of hand tools, ability to read and work from blue prints and sketches.
Minimum Qualifications:Graduation from high school or equivalent. Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
