Job Summary & Responsibilities
We are currently looking for a Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join the Global Facilities management team. This role will be in Bloomington, MN. The main responsibilities of this individual will be to provide engineering support for all current and new building systems including mechanical, electrical, process (CDA, Nitrogen, and Vacuum), controls, cleanrooms, and life safety systems. A key component of this position is the ability to manage, operate, and modify the building Direct Digital Controls (DDC) or Building Management System (BMS) to achieve building environmental standards and energy efficiencies. This "hands on" position requires an extensive knowledge in the building systems, coupled with strong analytical and communication skills. This position will also be required to assist in the development of corporate facilities standards, capital project design and equipment selection, development of maintenance programs including failure analysis, and optimize storage and manufacturing processes as related to facilities. This position may need to work with tool developers and manufacturers to help solve issues that may be facilities related or with the expertise of this individual.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 8 years of experience in facility engineering and direct digital control systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to set priorities and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
- Possess good interpersonal skills and excels in a team environment
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Can use Microsoft Project and AutoDesk or AutoCAD
- Some understanding of Cleanroom design and operations
Major Responsibilities and Roles (with percentage of time).
- Review, Maintenance and Modification of Direct Digital Control systems (Facilities Explorer and Automatic Logic) as they relate to energy conservation - 30%
- Review Construction Project for compliance to Facilities Standards and provide additional engineering support - 10%
- Assist with the creation or maintenance of As-built drawings and ensure their accuracy - 5%
- Review, create, and modify Facilities Standards - 10%
- Maintain available Building infrastructure (CDA, Vacuum, Nitrogen, Power, Process Cooling Water, and HVAC) - 10%
- Assist with the review, create, and modify Facilities Preventive/Predictive Maintenance practices including the Infrared program - 10%
- Facilities system condition and capacity assessments - 10%
- Other Related Duties - 10%
