Harley-Davidson Motor Company is headquartered in Milwaukee, WI, where the first H-D factory was built in 1903 - a wooden shed in the backyard of the Davidson's family home. Our onsite and hybrid Milwaukee area employees work out of the Harley-Davidson Product Development Center located just outside of the city - in Wauwatosa. Join our team as a Lead Facilities.
The Harley-Davidson Foundation (HDF) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and is funding construction of a 4.6-acre community park (Davidson Park) on Harley-Davidson’s Juneau Avenue headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Construction is expected to be completed in summer 2024.
The Operations Lead has primary responsibility for successful implementation of the Park’s mission, ongoing park operations and maintenance including capital projects, event/programming support, and partnerships with key stakeholders. Secondarily, the Operations Lead will provide administrative and tactical management support for ongoing Facilities Operations across all Harley-Davidson Motor Company (HDMC) Milwaukee area locations and Harley-Davidson Financial Services (HDFS) locations as further outlined below.
The Operations Lead reports to the HDMC Facilities Manager with close ties to the Community Impact Manager. Core responsibilities include:
Management of Park operations, programs, staff, systems, and resources:
• Manage vendor agreements related to Harley Park and Davidson Park operations.
• Direct oversight of Park facility maintenance including, groundskeeping, housekeeping, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, snow removal, WiFi, utilities, and all permits and fees necessary for effective park operations.
• Develop and maintain Park Operation budget that feeds the overall Park Budget.
• Ensure proper execution of Park policies and procedures including hours of operation, public and private event policies, and guest safety and security.
• Provide onsite support for regular programming, special events, and paid rentals.
• Ensure responsible and prudent stewardship of financial resources entrusted to Davidson Park, maintenance of records, and compliance with all applicable laws.
• Identify, assess, and create innovative ideas for providing resources or support to Davidson Park.
• Continuous ongoing collaboration with cross-functional resource teams, including Harley-Davidson Foundation and HDMC Security, HDMC Facilities Operations and Projects, Juneau Avenue Site Stakeholders, and HDMC Environmental, Health, and Safety.
• Collaborative support of Security hardware and infrastructure
HDMC and HDFS Facilities Coordination Support
• Administrative support tasks as assigned by HDMC Facilities Management, including:
- Vendor engagement for Facilities operational support and service quoting
- Development of Requests for Proposal
- Administering Purchase Orders, Invoices, and other operational accounting
- Sustainability (Utilities and Waste) KPI/metric tracking and reporting
• Tactical support of vendors, including:
- Project development and execution support
- Site escorts
- Oversight of vendor work for select Facilities Operations and Projects
• Ongoing collaboration with HDMC and HDFS cross-functional resource teams
• Developing Facilities related communications
• Collaboration on site verifications and as-builts
• Other related tasks as assigned
Required:
A minimum of eight years of operations experience, and/or a portfolio of experiences, skills, and capabilities that collectively demonstrate:
• Communication proficiency, with a customer service focused mentality
• Affinity for community engagement and parks programs; understanding of urban parks, and appreciation for the roles of public and private sectors in parks development and maintenance.
• Basic finance and accounting acumen
• Strong understanding of Facilities systems, infrastructure, and operations
• Intellectual curiosity and voracity to stay abreast of issues/concern impacting long term management of the Park including environmental sustainability issues, government, politics, stakeholder sentiment (community, etc.); a proactive mindset for identifying issues and opportunities
• Strength with building and cultivating personal and professional relationships, managing multiple stakeholders across organizations to collaborate and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Subject-matter expertise coupled with ability to collaborate up, down and across organizations, including with executive leadership, individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures, and community leaders.
• Self-motivated, with demonstrated success in setting and achieving financial, organizational, and leadership goals.
• CAD Drafting experience preferred to support Park event planning and Facilities and Park layout sustainment.

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
