Summary/Purpose
- Supervises the facilities group to ensure all critical equipment operates correctly and efficiently.
- Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards and good housekeeping practices.
- Maintains the Facilities Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure maximum uptime for all departments
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
- Perform routine predictive and corrective Maintenance on all plant and facility equipment.
- Maintain building management software, fire alarm system, and compressor system software.
- Identifies problems with facility equipment and communicates, schedules, and completes repairs.
- Maintain maintenance data base/logs to track critical components and subsequent activities.
- Maintain/recommend inventory regarding facility maintenance spare components.
- Maintains all aspects of forklift & tugger PM's & maintenance
- Follows all Safety rules and serves as a safety role model for team members.
- Assist in the repairs, improvements and upgrades for Facility equipment.
- Regularly inspect Facility equipment and schedule necessary preventative maintenance routines and planning.
- Ability to identify and work with contractors to repair, install, remove and or upgrade equipment.
- Upkeep of building & grounds including lights, restrooms, cafeteria, landscaping, etc.
- Identify and implement CO2 reductions and other cost saving measures
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Day to day supervision of the facility Maintenance Technicians
- Assist with interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Ensure all contracts, PM's, and Safety Work Orders are up to date and/or completed on time.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of facility equipment, contract negotiation, materials and products.
- Demonstrated safe leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong leadership/communications skills
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years Electrical or mechanical experience.
- 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical degree in Maintenance Field preferred
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
- Must be willing to work overtime hours and weekends as needed.
- Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Must be able to work outdoors and in hot and cold environments.
