Job Description
As a Facilities Engineer (also known as Maintenance Engineer or Plant Engineer), you'll be responsible for the upkeep and improvement of our manufacturing plant. This includes assessing facility resource requirements, designing and optimizing the facility layout and critical operational systems, and overseeing the maintenance of infrastructure and equipment. You'll also develop and implement utility plans, perform system evaluations, and establish operational efficiency. Excellent project management skills and knowledge of structural code requirements are essential.

- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering or similar degree.
- At least 3 years of applicable experience in Facilities Engineering or a similar role.
- Experience with AutoCAD, SAP, and MS Office.
- Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to work in a highly responsive manner and ensure production schedules are met.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and other technical drawings in a problem-solving context.
- Ability to lead contractors while under the pressures of a production schedule, directing others through instruction and by example.
- Willingness to support activities on other shifts and on weekends as schedules require.
- Ability to communicate on a technical level to vendors over the phone, by email, and in person.
- Knowledge of safety and federal regulations to ensure compliance in existing operations and new upcoming projects.
- Visual acuity necessary for detailed part inspection.
- Ability to follow written work instructions.
- Forklift license is beneficial but not required.
