We are searching for a Facilities Electrical Design Engineer in Allen, TX
Job Description:
The Facilities Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for semiconductor manufacturing facilities. The engineer will work closely with other engineers and project managers to ensure that all electrical systems are designed to meet project requirements and are in compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for manufacturing facilities.
- Report directly to the Building Facilities Director.
- Work closely with other engineers and project managers to ensure that all electrical systems are designed to meet project requirements and are in compliance with all applicable codes and standards.
- Perform electrical load calculations and power distribution studies.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Prepare Electrical Design drawings, specifications, and calculations to include but not limited to the following.
- Design Emergency power for HPM (Life Safety) Exhaust systems
- Design power for new bulk gas and chemical distribution systems.
- Design plan for a backup generator distribution systems for life safety systems and FAB process equipment.
- Design plan for full fab emergency UPS distribution systems.
- Provide technical support during construction and commissioning.
- Ensure that all electrical systems are installed and commissioned in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Perform inspections to ensure that all electrical systems are functioning properly.
- Will be responsible for working with municipal Code compliance and regulation employees to obtain signoff.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- MUST have valid Professional Engineer License (PE) recognized and accepted in Texas. .
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Electrical Design for semiconductor manufacturing facilities
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards
- Experience with AutoCAD and other Electrical Design software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
