Job Description:
As a Fabricator Level 1, you will be responsible for basic fabrication tasks under supervision. You will assist in the assembly and fabrication of metal products, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in basic metal fabrication and assembly tasks.
· Operate fabrication tools and equipment under supervision.
· Follow detailed instructions and blueprints accurately.
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
· Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.
Educational and Technical Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
· Vocational Training or Certification (Optional, but preferred)
· Understanding the fundamentals of metal fabrication processes such as cutting, bending, and assembling.
· Knowledge of basic hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment (like drills, grinders, and cutters).
· Basic safety training or certification, especially in handling tools and understanding workplace safety protocols.
Technical and Trade Skills:
· Knowledge of basic metalworking processes such as cutting, bending, and drilling.
· Familiarity with using hand tools (hammers, punches, etc.) and power tools (drills, grinders, etc.).
· Ability to accurately measure and calculate dimensions, often using tape measure, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
· Some understanding of welding processes and techniques, although advanced skills may not be necessary at this level.
· Ability to read and understand basic blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings.
· Knowledge of handling different types of fabrication materials safely and effectively.
· Understanding of how to operate basic machinery under supervision, if required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
