2nd shift & 3rd Shift: $23.30/hour.
As a Fabrications Quality Technician II, you will:
Measures fabrication components utilizing a Portable Coordinate Measuring Machine (PCMM) and handheld measurement tools.
Interprets product drawings and analyzes PCMM reports.
Performs weld audits and yard audits on fabrication components.
Performs the root cause analysis for internal and external (OQL) quality issues.
Gathers defect data and supports continuous improvement efforts. May develop and update successive checks and PQA checks for each area, including check sheets for the production line.
Relies on independent decision-making and problem-solving to complete job tasks.
Documents quality issues in the defect database and flags defects for repair.
Communicates cross-functionally to complete tasks.
Contributing team member.
Follows and utilizes CPS principles of 5S, Continuous Improvement Idea Reporting, Waste Elimination, and Standard Work.
Basic Requirements:
2 year degree or 2 years functional experience in welding or quality.
Advanced Computer Knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
Physical Requirements:
Lift parts up to 35 pounds individually.
Occasional bending, reaching, squatting and reaching while performing tasks.
Consistent usage of required PPE for the task being performed.
Ability to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures.
Ability to work outside as needed to support quality audits.
Ability to Stand at the workstation while performing tasks.
Top Candidates will also have:
Advanced Caterpillar Systems Knowledge (Assembly Tracking Reliability System (ATRS), PINPoint, Geneo).
Knowledge of problem-solving tools (Root cause analysis, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.).
Previous welding or fabrication experience.
Previous quality or metrology lab experience.
Blueprint reading and knowledge of GD&T.
Experience using a PCMM.
Schedule:
2nd Shift Monday - Friday 2:15 pm - 10:15 pm.
3rd Shift: Sunday night - Friday morning 10:15 pm - 6:15 am.
*Mandatory overtime required/ Scheduled in advance. *
