PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must ensure that company policies and procedures are being enforced and adhered to at all times.
- Provide continual evaluation of the group's processes and methods, to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment.
- Provide day to day supervision of employee job execution, to include; training, performance evaluation and employee relations.
- Recommend tooling supplies and replacement parts as required.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, and organization of equipment and materials in the fabrication area.
- Work with Engineering, Production Control, and QA on drawing problems, manufacturing order problems, and quality problems.
- Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Periodically reports on key departmental performance indicators.
- Performs other work-related tasks as assigned by the Production Manager.
- Has working knowledge of fabrication codes & standards such as ASME, API, ISO, OSHA, and AWS inspection procedures.
- In conjunction with the Safety Manager, implements and maintains improved safety programs which reduce employee accidents.
- Ensures the efficient utilization of production resources, capital equipment, setting work schedules, & hiring employees to meet FM 529's production goals.
- Works with the Quality Department, instilling a quality-oriented attitude throughout the department which results in improved quality and reduced scrap/rework rates.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3-years of welding and/or fitting experience.
- Minimum of 3-years' experience as a Lead and/or Supervisor experience.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Limited (5%) travel required.
- Exposed to loud noise while in the warehouse.
- Exposed to moving parts while on the shop floor.
- As addressed within the Primary Responsibilities Section above.
- Works in warehouse/shop floor environment setting 40% of the day, 60% of the day in spent at a computer in an office.
- Exposed to occasional hot and/or cold weather depending on outside climate conditions and warehouse temperature since the shop floor is neither airconditioned nor heated.
