Summary: As a member of the Martin's Family, the Fabrication Automation Intern will support to the Fabrication Department. The Fabrication Automation Intern will provide the opportunity to students to gain practical, hands-on experience in both the Fabrication Shop and Engineering Department that will prepare you for the future. You will be exposed to a variety of operations and disciplines including automation, research & development, manufacturing and more. The Fabrication Automation Internship will run through the summer months with flexible start and end dates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties as assigned.
- Assist in the implementation of CAD model design changes and product enhancements as directed.
- Work with AutoCADD program.
- Compose Engineering documents regarding design and layouts.
- Create cost effective designs that meet necessary requirement specifications.
- Assist with the implementation of product changes and enhancements.
- Adheres to and enforces safety, food safety, quality and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations.
- Assist to test, maintain, and modify existing systems to ensure they meet required needs and specifications.

Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED;
- Currently attending accredited institution pursuing a degree in Fabrication/Automation .
- Desire to work independently and as part of a team.
- Desire to work in a manufacturing environment
Computer Skills:
- Microsoft Office ; Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
