Job Details:
As a Maintenance/Automation Intern at our Distribution Center, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting various aspects of Automation and Maintenance activities. You will work closely with our experienced maintenance team to ensure the efficient operation of automated systems through the following focus areas: PLC's, Sensors, Electrical, Hardware, Reporting, Problem Solving.
Candidate will also spend time reviewing data to enhance/develop reporting on Key Performance Indicators in relation to the crane systems. The program will have the ability to be catered to the student's area of study within education program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in Routine Maintenance/Automation Tasks: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on equipment and systems. Conduct inspections to identify and address potential issues.
  • Equipment Repairs: Assist in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Learn to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Report any issues or deficiencies promptly to the maintenance supervisor.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks. Participate in safety training programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborative Work: Work closely with the maintenance team to support their efforts and learn from their expertise. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Project Support: Assist in special projects related to facility improvement and maintenance. Participate in the planning and execution of maintenance projects.

Requirements:
Education/Certifications: Education beyond high school required. Candidate must be pursuing a degree/certification in an engineering, maintenance, or automation centric field of study.
Experience: No Experience required beyond formal.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Suite Experience required. Additional WCS and/or PLC experience is preferred.
