SUMMARY: Extrusion Tech will work in tooling development, engineering projects, production support, and continuous improvement plant efforts.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Participate in the development of new extrusion tooling and technical work required for commercialization projects & back up tooling.
- Develop and document extrusion process to meet customer requirments, using problem solving techniques, data analysis, and tooling modifications when required.
- Participate in cross functional work on tooling projects with quality, engineering, and operations.
- Correct issues and minimize downtime and scrap by ensuring proper resources are directed at the issue until it is resolved.
- Thoroughly record and document all extrusion process settings and tooling modifications though tooling development process
- Continuously drive standardization of process and methods.
- Support continuous improvement efforts on extrusions lines to reduce scrap, downtime and and increase productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Ability to work and communicate to all levels of the company.
- Ability to analyze and present recommendations in clear, concise manner.
- Good organization, prioritization and project skills.
- Desire to continue to grow and develop.
- Leadership minded and professional communication skills desired.
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experienced in the area of extrusion tooling.
- Years in extrusion environment is preferred.
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience of CAD software use at preferred ability / willingness to train and learn.
- Machine shop expereince is recommended.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY):
• Must be able to stand for 8 hrs
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs, etc.
In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
