*VETERINARY ASSISTANT/ RVT – 36+ hours per week, nights, weekends & holidays. Fast-paced 24 hour Emergency Veterinary Hospital seeks friendly, productive, and proactive teammate for a Veterinary Assistant/ RVT position.

Responsibilities and Duties

Duties include triaging patients, placing IV catheters, venipuncture, miscellaneous injections, radiology knowledge and generalized treatments. The basics of CPR will be needed. Basic medical math is a must. Able to review estimates and finances with customers. Good communications skills and strong computer skills are a must. Qualified candidates must enjoy working with people and animals (dogs/cats) and capable of providing exceptional and compassionate veterinary care.

Qualifications and Skills

Our Veterinary Assistant/ RVTs must exhibit sharp attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multi-task. We are looking for a calm, level headed individual who does well in a stressful environment. Ability to provide outstanding veterinary care for our patients, flexibility of thought and commitment to excellence are required. At least 2 years of veterinary experience is ideal, and training will be provided.

Pay: $22.00 - $29.00 per hour
