Responsibilities:
1. Performing audit or review procedures, or assisting in other projects, as assigned
2. Understanding the client's business and industry and accounting and control systems
3. Developing an understanding of SingerLewak's audit approach
4. Assessing risks and evaluating the client's internal control structure
5. Performing and documenting analytical procedures, substantive tests, and tests of controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues
6. Reviewing or assisting in the drafting of financial statements and other client deliverables
7. Supervising Staff Auditors as required
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting or related field
2. At least one year of experience in public accounting
3. Must be CPA eligible and working towards obtaining the license by taking and passing the applicable state CPA exam, or holds a current and valid CPA's license
4. Demonstrated ability to communicate (i.e., read, write, speak) with business level fluency in English
5. Ability to travel to assigned client locations
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Ability to perform most phases of a client engagement, from planning to issuance
2. Experience in supervising Staff Auditors
3. Ability to work as an effective member of a team
4. Ability to prioritize and complete assignments and efficiently and effectively meet deadlines
5. Ability to multitask
6. Strong computer skills
7. Proficient knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States and United States Generally Accepted Auditing Standards
8. Proactively seeks knowledge, new tasks and responsibilities
9. Cooperative and responsive to training, supervision and constructive feedback
10. Maintains appropriate compliance with all Firm-wide policies and procedures
Working Conditions:
1. Same day travel for work at clients' offices, meetings, and seminars, as needed
2. Occasional out-of-town travel with overnight stay for work at clients, meetings, or seminars
3. Occasional overtime work required throughout the year; heavy overtime work required from January 1 to May 15, which may be in excess of 55 hours per week
