Experienced Litigation Attorney

AJ Law, PLC, Accident Justice, a prestigious boutique personal injury law firm with it's Litigation Office located in Paradise Valley seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney. Your role will require hands-on and on-site management of litigation cases and the firm’s support staff (there to assist you with the litigation cases!). Cases may include motor vehicle crashes, premise liability, dog bite, wrongful death, and claims against government entities. You will have the opportunity to work and grow both yourself and your team, for the benefit of our clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in the following key responsibilities:  

• Drafting and filing of pleadings, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, demands, and other briefings.  
• Communicate professionally with clients to guide them through the litigation process.   
• Consistently negotiate with insurance adjusters/opposing counsel and medical providers in order to resolve cases efficiently and to negotiate the highest possible settlements and lien reductions.  
• Ensure the timely and efficiency movement of cases from litigation to settlement disbursement.  
• Prepare and participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings and trial.  
• Monitor and review cases to ensure excellent service.  
• Give direction to supportive staff on cases.  
• Perform cost/benefit analysis of settlement versus litigation.  

Requirements & Skills:  

• Active Arizona bar license required.  
• 5+ years of personal injury litigation experience required (plaintiff or defense). 
• Knowledge and understanding of the PI cases from intake to settlement.  
• Prelitigation and/or insurance claims background, a plus.  
• Highly organized and analytical.  
• Ability to schedule and meet deadlines
• High levels of empathy and patience.  
• Exceptional attention to detail.  
• Self-starter and able to work efficiently in a high-paced environment.  
• Excellent Legal research and writing skills.  
• Bilingual, English and Spanish (preferred, but not required).
