The Sharper Edge, Inc. is looking for a landscape skid steer operator/team leader  This job would entail of coordinating various softscape / hardscape jobs from start to finish.  We design and construct full lawn installation with planting beds, paver patios, outcroppings, walkways & driveways. We also construct retaining walls and water features (waterfalls, water gardens, etc.)

Our organized work facility and experienced management team along with well-maintained vehicles and equipment achieve efficiency and quality in this fast-paced rewarding industry. 
Work consists of grading properties with skid steer using other various skid steer attachments (Land Plane, Harley Rakes, Seeders, Augers, Etc.), ability to use a mini excavator, directing and training employees how to read landscape plans and execute the plan from start to finish.  You will also be asked to shovel dirt / gravel, carrying of bricks, pavers & block, carrying sod and planting trees/plants.  We require you to have leadership skills to direct and execute plans from start to finish, have a valid driver's license with good driving record, willingness to work hard day in and day out, ability to teach / train new employees, and the ability to read landscaping plans.

Winter time you would be plowing snow in a truck, skid steer or front end loader when snow fall occurs.


Ideal Candidates (MUST HAVE)

  • Possess a valid Driver's License with a good driving record
  • Are reliable, dependable, and energetic
  • Experienced in operating a skid steer / mini excavator
  • Experience with setting elevations with transit
  • Experience reading landscape plans
  • Experience installing edging, plants, trees, seed, sod
  • Experience installing paver and stone patios
  • Ability to lead a team to start & finish jobs
  • Are able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Have the ability to work both independently as well as part of a team
  • Possess good communication skills
