Experienced Auto repair Technician
· Minimum 2-3 years of automotive mechanical diagnosis of vehicles, problem-solving and repair experience to succeed in this position.
Maintains tools and work places so that conditions are neat and orderly.
50% FLAG PAY (Self employed status)
JOB DUTIES INCLUDING NOT LIMITED TO:
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including:
- Engine
- Transmission
- Manual/Electrical Steering
- Suspension
- Brakes
- Air Conditioning, etc.
- Perform Pre-Purchase vehicle inspections
- Test-drive vehicles
- Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to ensure customers are well-informed of any additional services needed.
JOB REQUIRED SKILLS & CRITERIA:
- Standing/Sitting/Squatting/Kneeling/Bending for long periods of time.
- Lifting/Loading/Unloading/Carrying (Up to 50 lbs)
- Practice safe use of machines, equipment, hand tools, power tools, jacks and lifts.
- Ability to communicate in English and or Spanish if applicable with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.
- Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.
- Personal protective equipment is required on a regular basis, including safety glasses, and as needed, respirator, steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and other protective equipment as required.
Welding experience a plus
Diesel experience a plus
Small engine repair a plus
Spanish speaking a plus

Pay: $42.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
