Job Description
High Level Statement of the Role:
The Existing Product and Programs Manager will be responsible for managing and developing the By Design team, the on-going quality and customer expectation alignment of our existing product portfolio and develop the content and deliver training of Existing Products.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the overall success of the product modification team including process improvement, margin achievement and customer support.
  • Responsible for hitting target margins and maintaining target profitability of product modifications.
  • Facilitate and support high profile customer product quotes, orders, installation, as well as quality complaints, service bulletins and recalls.
  • Review and respond to MCR requests on a weekly basis and funnel suggestions on product improvements/enhancements with rest of product group.
  • Works collaboratively with the PMO to drive out cost within identified product categories
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams on resource planning in conjunction with all engineering activities
  • Able to conduct random product audits and participate in pilot runs to ensure customer expectations.
  • Participate in the review and approval of customer mock-ups in conjunction with the Quality and Engineering teams.
  • Ability to give clear direction and expectation to quality team for alignment on product inspections/customer requested inspection orders.
  • When appropriate or as needed may also deliver the product training to customer service and field sales. May also conduct training to customers on a per request basis.
  • Participate in Meet the Truck Program
  • Proven history or ability to demonstrate safe / responsible behavior, and a positive performance record (including attendance).
  • Provide leadership for development and succession planning within the custom quote team.
  • Support the product Life Cycle Management process by monitoring sales and soliciting feedback from internal and external resources on all product series and materials, as well as monitoring By Design trends.

Qualifications:
Educational
  • 5+ years experience working in the office furniture industry.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or related work experience. Must have strong desire and willingness to learn.
